Day 1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

-Your Electric Safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you journey north through Kenya’s scenic central highlands towards the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

-The landscape gradually changes from the bustle of Nairobi to rolling farmland, open plains and the dramatic foothills of Mount Kenya.

-Arrive at Ol Pejeta around lunchtime, check in and enjoy a well-deserved meal before beginning your first wildlife experience.
In the afternoon, head out on a game drive through the conservancy.

-Ol Pejeta is famous for its exceptional wildlife viewing and pioneering conservation programmes. Keep an eye out for black and white rhinos, elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and numerous other species.

-Depending on the selected package, you may also have an opportunity to experience one of Ol Pejeta’s conservation-focused activities, giving you a deeper understanding of the work being done to protect Kenya’s wildlife.

-As evening falls over the conservancy, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and your first night in the Kenyan wilderness.

Day 2: Ol Pejeta – Samburu National Reserve

Wake up to the sounds of the conservancy before enjoying breakfast and setting off towards Samburu National Reserve.
The journey north is an experience in itself as the scenery becomes increasingly dry and rugged. You’ll pass through changing landscapes and eventually reach the distinctive wilderness of northern Kenya.
Arrive in Samburu around lunchtime and settle into your lodge or tented camp before enjoying lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on your first Samburu game drive. This unique ecosystem is home to the famous Samburu Special Five — Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich.
You’ll also have opportunities to encounter elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo and other wildlife as you explore the reserve beneath the dramatic northern skies.
Return to camp in the evening for dinner and your first night surrounded by the wilderness of Samburu.

Day 3: Full-Day Samburu National Reserve

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the extraordinary landscapes and wildlife of Samburu National Reserve.
Rise early for a morning game drive, when the cooler temperatures often make for excellent wildlife viewing. Follow the Ewaso Ng’iro River and explore the surrounding plains and hills in search of both the reserve’s distinctive northern species and its larger predators.
Look out for elegant reticulated giraffes moving between the acacia trees, Grevy’s zebras grazing across the plains and gerenuks standing upright as they browse on vegetation.
There will also be opportunities to spot elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo and a variety of bird species.
Return to your lodge for lunch and some time to relax before heading out for a second game drive in the afternoon.
As the sun sets across Samburu’s rugged landscape, return to your accommodation for dinner and your final evening in northern Kenya.

Day 4: Samburu – Nairobi

Enjoy a final breakfast in the wilderness before beginning your journey back to Nairobi.
As you travel south, watch the dramatic Samburu landscape gradually give way to the greener central highlands. The journey offers one final opportunity to appreciate just how dramatically Kenya’s scenery can change within a relatively short distance.
Depending on your departure arrangements, you may enjoy a short morning game drive before leaving Samburu.
Continue towards Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon or early evening.
Your 4-Day Electric Safari comes to an end with unforgettable memories of Ol Pejeta’s conservation story, Samburu’s extraordinary wildlife and the spectacular landscapes of northern Kenya.
