Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Your adventure begins with an early departure from Nairobi as you head north towards the dramatic landscapes of Samburu National Reserve.
The scenery gradually transforms from the busy city into vast open plains, rugged hills and semi-arid wilderness.
Upon arrival in Samburu, settle into your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch before heading out for your first afternoon game drive.
Keep your eyes open for elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo and the distinctive wildlife of northern Kenya, including the famous Samburu Special Five.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and your first night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Overnight: Samburu National Reserve

Day 2: Full-Day Samburu National Reserve

Wake up to the sights and sounds of Samburu before setting out for a full day of wildlife exploration.
The reserve is particularly special for its northern species, and your game drives may reveal the elegant reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich.
There will also be opportunities to encounter larger predators and herds of elephants moving through the reserve.
Enjoy a picnic lunch or return to your lodge for a relaxed midday break, depending on the day’s arrangements, before continuing your exploration in the afternoon.
As the sun begins to set over Samburu’s rugged landscape, return to camp for a relaxing evening and dinner.

Day 3: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, bid farewell to Samburu and travel south towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s most renowned wildlife and conservation destinations.
Arrive in time for lunch and some relaxation before embarking on an afternoon game drive through the conservancy.
Ol Pejeta offers excellent opportunities to see rhinos, elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes and many other species in a beautifully protected wilderness setting.
Depending on your chosen experience and schedule, there may also be an opportunity to learn more about Ol Pejeta’s pioneering conservation work.
Return to your lodge or camp as the evening settles over the conservancy.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park

Enjoy breakfast before continuing your journey towards Lake Nakuru National Park, travelling through the scenic landscapes of Kenya’s central highlands and into the Great Rift Valley.
After arriving and checking in, enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its rhino population and offers opportunities to see buffalo, giraffes, zebras, lions and other wildlife.
The park’s lake and surrounding escarpments create a spectacular backdrop for photography, particularly as the afternoon light begins to soften.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a relaxing night in the Rift Valley.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha

Start the morning with breakfast before departing for Lake Naivasha, one of the most beautiful freshwater lakes in the Great Rift Valley.
Upon arrival, check in and enjoy some time to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings.
Depending on your selected activities and lodge, you may have the opportunity to enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, offering a completely different perspective of the Kenyan wilderness.
The lake is home to abundant birdlife and is known for its hippos, while nearby Crescent Island offers a unique walking safari experience where wildlife can be observed on foot.
Spend the evening enjoying the tranquil atmosphere around the lake.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Nairobi

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast beside Lake Naivasha before beginning your journey back to Nairobi.
Depending on your departure time, you may have an opportunity for a final morning activity or some leisure time at the lodge before travelling back through the Great Rift Valley.
Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, marking the end of your 6-day Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru & Lake Naivasha safari.
