Tour Itinerary

06:00 AM – 08:00 AM:

Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel and drive along the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment. Stop at the viewpoint for breathtaking photo opportunities of the valley below before continuing to Mount Longonot National Park.

08:00 AM – 08:30 AM:

Arrive at the park gate, meet your local hiking guide, and begin a short briefing on the trail and safety tips.

08:30 AM – 12:00 PM:

Start your hike up Mount Longonot. The trail ascends steeply through forested lower slopes before opening up to rocky ridges and wide views of the valley. Take occasional rest stops for water, photos, and to enjoy the stunning scenery.

12:00 PM – 01:00 PM:

Reach the crater rim! Enjoy your packed lunch while gazing at the vast crater below and the distant views of Lake Naivasha. Adventurous hikers can opt to trek around the entire crater rim (approximately 7 km loop).

01:00 PM – 03:00 PM:

Descend slowly back to the park gate, enjoying a final look at the mountain’s slopes and wildlife.

03:00 PM – 06:00 PM:

Depart Mount Longonot and begin your return drive to Nairobi. Arrive in the evening and drop off at your hotel or preferred location.
