Did you know?

🦓 Samburu has its own “Special Five.” The region is famous for the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich — species particularly adapted to northern Kenya’s dry environment.


🏔️ Amboseli offers one of Africa’s most iconic safari views: elephants roaming across open plains with Mount Kilimanjaro rising dramatically in the background. On clear days, the mountain creates an incredible backdrop for wildlife photography.


🐘 Tsavo East is part of the enormous Tsavo ecosystem, one of Kenya’s great wilderness landscapes. Its elephants are famously associated with the park’s distinctive red soil, which can give them a striking reddish appearance.

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Your Kenyan adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you journey north towards the spectacular landscapes of Samburu.
As the city fades behind you, the scenery gradually transforms into dry plains, rugged hills and striking semi-arid landscapes.
Arrive in Samburu around lunchtime and settle into your lodge or tented camp before enjoying your first taste of the northern wilderness.
Later in the afternoon, head out on your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve. This remarkable ecosystem is home to an array of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo and the region’s famous Samburu Special Five.
As the afternoon light softens across the reserve, return to your accommodation for dinner and your first night beneath the Samburu skies.

Day 2: Full-Day Samburu National Reserve

Wake up to the sounds of the African wilderness before setting out for a full day of exploration in Samburu National Reserve.
Today’s game drives offer plenty of opportunities to discover the reserve’s unique wildlife. Look out for the elegant reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, long-necked gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich, while keeping watch for elephants, lions, leopards and other predators.
The landscape itself is part of the experience, with the Ewaso Ng’iro River providing a vital source of water through this otherwise dry region.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness or return to camp for a midday break before continuing your afternoon game drive.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a relaxing second night in Samburu.

Day 3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, bid farewell to northern Kenya and begin your journey south towards Lake Nakuru National Park.
The drive takes you through changing landscapes as the dry Samburu region gives way to the greener highlands and dramatic scenery of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.
Arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru is particularly renowned for its rhino population and offers excellent opportunities to encounter buffalo, giraffes, zebras, lions and a variety of birdlife. The lake itself, surrounded by escarpments and woodland, provides a beautiful setting for an afternoon of wildlife viewing.
As the sun begins to set over the Rift Valley, return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha

Enjoy breakfast before continuing your journey through the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya’s most peaceful freshwater destinations.
Arrive at Naivasha and check in before enjoying some time to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.
Depending on your selected activities and schedule, you may enjoy an optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha, offering an opportunity to see hippos and abundant birdlife from the water.
A visit to Crescent Island may also be arranged, where a guided walking experience provides a unique opportunity to encounter wildlife outside the traditional safari vehicle.
Spend the afternoon at leisure, enjoying the tranquil atmosphere of the lake.
Later, settle in for dinner and a peaceful evening before the journey south continues the following day.
Overnight: Lake Naivasha

Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and continue south towards Amboseli National Park, travelling through the changing landscapes of southern Kenya.
The journey takes you towards one of Kenya’s most iconic safari destinations, famous for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its impressive elephant herds.
Arrive in the Amboseli area and enjoy lunch before heading out on your first afternoon game drive.
As you explore the open plains, keep an eye out for elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, buffalo and numerous bird species. When conditions are clear, the magnificent silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro provides an unforgettable backdrop.
Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and your first night in Amboseli.
Overnight: Amboseli National Park

Day 6: Full-Day Amboseli National Park

Rise early for one of the most memorable experiences of the safari – a morning game drive in Amboseli, when the light is beautiful and wildlife is often particularly active.
Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, many of which can be seen moving across the open plains with Mount Kilimanjaro towering in the distance.
Continue exploring the park’s diverse habitats, from open grasslands and seasonal wetlands to acacia woodland. These different environments support an impressive variety of wildlife and birdlife.
Return to your lodge for lunch and some time to relax during the heat of the day before heading out again for an afternoon game drive.
As evening approaches, watch the landscape transform beneath the golden African sunset before returning to camp.
Overnight: Amboseli National Park

Day 7: Amboseli – Tsavo East National Park

Enjoy breakfast before leaving Amboseli and continuing towards Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and most legendary wilderness areas.
As you enter the Tsavo ecosystem, the scenery becomes increasingly wild and expansive.
Tsavo East is renowned for its vast open landscapes, dramatic baobab trees, red-earth scenery and remarkable elephant population.
After arriving and settling in, enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive.
Explore the park in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and other wildlife.
The park’s distinctive red soil often coats the elephants, creating the famous “red elephants of Tsavo” that have become one of the region’s most recognizable sights.
Return to your accommodation in the evening for your final night in the Kenyan wilderness.
Overnight: Tsavo East National Park

Day 8: Tsavo East – Diani Beach

Enjoy an early breakfast before departing Tsavo East for the final leg of your incredible Kenyan journey.
Travel south-east towards the coast as the landscape gradually changes once again – from Tsavo’s vast wilderness to the warmer, greener surroundings of coastal Kenya.
Continue towards Diani Beach, one of Kenya’s most beautiful Indian Ocean destinations.
Arrive in Diani later in the day, where your safari officially comes to an end.
Your driver-guide will drop you off at your selected hotel, resort or accommodation, giving you the perfect opportunity to continue your Kenyan adventure with a relaxing beach holiday on the Indian Ocean.
After days of wildlife, wilderness and breathtaking landscapes, exchange the sounds of the savannah for the gentle rhythm of the ocean.
Safari ends in Diani Beach. Asante!
